"He's not scatty. He's fine," Stephen answered without thinking. Defending Terry was second nature, especially when Adrian chose such words, but then sighed. "He's all right now. He's... he wants love, except he doesn't really wait to get to the point. He goes from 'hello' to 'will you marry me', and convinced himself that he was all his fault, because they were drunk, and ... I just wish he'd stop going after other people's partners. Me, Snape, Seamus, it's like he's sabotaging himself before things even start."
Stephen snorted. "You truly are horrible. Leave him be, poor man. He does a good enough job complicating his life without your help. He was... he didn't even know I was in the room, Ben let me in, and he's not eating or sleeping properly, all because of Sophia and Mandy... I don't know, maybe I'm a cold bastard, but they are dead, life goes on, and all that shit."
"Fine, don't tell me about it," he said, trying to sound pissed off, but ending up grinning. "It's fine. I won't bother you every five minutes to figure out what's going on. I haven't even asked Floot, or bribed him into spying for me. Unlike someone else I know."
He leaned over and kissed Adrian's cheek. "No, you stop worrying. We will do whatever we have to, and if you have to work, you can portkey back and forth, and we'll still have a magnificent time. I've told you from the start that you should do whatever makes you happy."
