"I know you cared for your parents, but f you don't mind, I'd rather not use your parents as a model of parenting." As far as Stephen was concerned, Adrian's mother was just as guilty as his father for not protecting him. "I'll ask, and I'll speak to Pipsy. Maybe she can organise a party for him. Maybe we can section off part of the attic at the house and he can turn it into his room. He has some furniture and we can give him more."
Stephen smiled. "Forever, and there is no way to make it fool proof. I mean I was stupid last time, but I thought Elizabeth was out there. I didn't even look and he was right behind me. Even with a portkey, there was not way of using it."
He let go and sat up. "No reason to apologise." He thought as he watched Adrian eat. "Everything is possible, and nothing is full proof. I would have said that he underestimates me, but fucking up with his house might have changed that. Still, I don't think he feels I'm a threat, at least not in that way."
