Gabrielle first noted that the owl at Fleur's window was a rather attractive one. The contents of its letter, though, were far from pretty, and caused her to sit alone in the silence of her room for quite some time.
She looked about her things toward Jander's coat and the place on her nightstand where her notebook usually sat. All at once, she wanted to be back in France. She would not be singing with Kevin at the pub, her prized possession was gone, and people were dying.
No owl was sent in reply. She did not know Seamus very well, after all. Instead, she moved to write Kevin, as surely he received the same notice and could offer her some consolation.
