Daphne had just put Nigel in his high chair when she heard Liam coming down the stairs and calling for his father. She wondered if he was a bit confused, and she was curious how often (if ever) he woke up in a bed that wasn't his.
She smiled at him when he found her, and she pulled him up into his arms. The boy sure did like to be held, even at his age. When did they grow out of that? Than again, she was sure he wasn't held like this by a woman very often, and it was probably somewhat comforting. "Your daddy is still out, I guess. He's coming to pick you up sometime today. We get to play for awhile longer." She tried to sound excited, even though she was still quite tired. Not to mention, she had no idea what Miles was actually coming by to get him. Merlin, why hadn't she asked?
"Are you hungry, Liam?" she asked. "What would you like for breakfast?"
