"I'll check the records, then," she said as she made a note to go and talk to Cormac first when she got back to the office.
She was, however, a little surprised by his suggestion of going to look in her bed. Her eyes flicked up to the other staircase, the one that lead to the infamous 'upstairs' portion of the pub. Why would it not surprise her to think that Rosmerta enjoyed the company of most men? It was just another reminder of what she was giving Cass in a couple of weeks.
Susan put her hand on Seamus' shoulder. "I'm going to do all I can to find out who did it." It was that much of a promise she could keep. Anything more, and it would be a lie. She couldn't guarantee they would find it, but she was going to do her best.
"I'll go up and check again, there's no need for you to go back upstairs."
Susan headed back up the stairs to the bedroom, wishing that she had Cass with her. It was a random thought, but some things just were better when there was someone else to help with the work.
The bed looked hastily made. A flick of her wand pulled the duvet back and she winced at the sight. The bedsheets were soaked with blood. Far too much and right now it was definitely a murder investigation.
