Miles shook his head. "Poor bloody students. No fun for them at all. Tsk." He chuckled as he gave Rosmerta a wink.
He dragged a stool over by the tub as he saw that Liam was playing with the flannel and doing very little actual cleaning with it. Liam gave his usual automatic responses about clean ears and teeth, and he wasn't sure if Rosie had actually washed behind the boy's ears, as he picked up the flannel and started to roughly clean him. Merlin, he wished their elf could do this all the time. But it was only one elf, and with Lettie in the house, it was busy with other tasks.
Still, it was much better for Liam to spend a couple more days here with Rosie than to have him underfoot all the time. Still even better having him here than with Millicent now that she had that mudblood with her. Sorry, Ella's father. It was an even better reason for them to stay away from Millicent - that child was a halfblood.
When he heard Liam say they were going to meet a vampire, he dropped the flannel in the water. "You fucking what?" he said, turning to Rosie. "Is that true? You're going to take my son to meet a vampire?
"Not fucking likely," he muttered, not caring that Liam had overheard his language.
