Liam didn't want Uncle Theo's horses to get sick so he shook his head.
He still laughed when she thought he was going to set things of fire. "No," he said, rolling his eyes in his head as if he was talking to a stupid three year old, "I only set them on fire when I'm angry." His eyes were sparkling with mischief, and he leaned in closer. "I'll tell you a secret," he said in a loud whisper. "Daddy sets things on fire when he's cranky too!"
"But 'choo knew that, coz you're going to be my new mummy." He slipped that fact into the conversation rather easily. He'd been watching, and thinking.
If Daphee said she wasn't going to be his new Mummy, and Lettie lived here with Daddy - just like Justin lived with 'Cent - then she had to be his new Mummy. Daddy smiled at her a lot, and talked about her a lot, and he was always coming back here to look after her. It was just like 'Cent and Justin.
So Lettie was his new Mummy.
He stood up with her when she started looking for a shirt, and he giggled again. "Muggle?" he laughed. He knew what a muggle was. "Daddy says that he'd rather go naked than wear Muggle clothes."
