Liam hadn't realised he'd been thumping he foot on the couch and stopped... long enough that she might have forgotten. He'd started up again by the time he'd pulled out the wand.
"When it's raining, me and Ella play in her room. We draw pictures." He sighed, seeing through the window that the rain was still coming down. "I don't s'pose Uncle Theo would let me go horse riding." His mummy had suggested that he perhaps not mention Uncle Theo's name too often around Daddy, as it was making him surly. Liam had asked why, but his mummy never gave an answer.
He giggled when she thought he could use fire with his wand. "No, silly," he said, chuckling harder. "I can set fire without the wand. This just makes pretty lights!" He wanted to show her, but now he saw she had a quill and a notebook. "Wot 'choo doin?" The quill and the paper distracted him enough that he pulled his feet up under him.
"We can do some drawing! Mummy says I'm getting betterer all the time!" He started to slide over, wanting to draw a picture for Lettie.
