Liam looked up at her pretty eyes, and at the pretty robes that Lettie was wearing as he let his legs and feet dangle over the couch. His heel started to thump against the base of the couch, and he looked at her, smiling.
"Can't," He replied quickly. "Daddy said he was too busy working, an' it's raining, so we can't go flying." He gave her a hopeful look, hoping she might suggest something. Most adults usually did.
He pulled out the toy wand he got for Christmas, pointing it at her. "I can do magic, y'know." He was rather pleased with himself and for his wand. "But s'not as powerful as when I set things on fire."
