Theo's owl made Narcissa smile in earnest. She had not done much of anything with herself lately, spending too much time merely existing in her house, hoping her presence alone would dissuade her son from bringing more strangers in.
At least she had not seen her cat in a while; Tracey's dogs being about seemed to work wonders, in that respect... though she would probably rather them be gone, too, honestly. If a house elf told her once more about a paw print on any heirloom furniture- even that belonging to Tracey- Narcissa might have pulled out her own hair.
She snapped herself away from frivolous thoughts to compose a response. Seeing the couple was definitely needed, as the friendship had to be kept up for the future. ...oh, and the baby was nice, too, she supposed...
Theodore and Padma,
I am so honored that you would think of me!
Everything here is fine, just fine, but I have been a bit of a recluse as of late, would you not say? This is the perfect opportunity for me to rouse myself from this apathy.
Tea sounds splendid- I cannot wait to see Padma up, around, and beautiful again. Surely she has thinned out at least a bit, has she not??
Thursday will work beautifully, and I shall ask Draco and Tracey about their own attendance. My son really should be spending more time with me. ...At least *I* think so, and what I think tends to be correct.
