Dennis couldn't have asked for a better person to keep him informed on just what was going on. A woman who liked to talk, and about so many people, was always a good thing.
He looked on in interest at her music, remembering now that she liked to sing. "Ah, well I know how easily you can get lost in the things you love."
He grinned knowingly at her words. "Oh I understand that you want to give them space. I give me brother plenty of space." About as far as he can throw a fire spell, actually, he thought. Patting her arm, he nodded and started to walk her towards Bilius Way. "Well let's see if we can't surprise them, and have you home at a reasonable hour." Winking at her softly, he flashed her a grin.
At the question about the dark alley, he looked a little duplicitous. "Can you keep a secret?" he asked, biting down on his lip. He glanced around, hoping that nobody else would see them. He figured it wouldn't be good to be spotted by one of his brother's friends, or any of the aurors in town.
"My brother and I had a... teensy difference of opinion, and he's not happy. He kicked me out and well..." He flashed her a look that hoped she would buy his pathetic story. "... I'd rather just stay out of his way, actually."
He walked on with her, listening to her babbling and nodding in all the right places, but paying attention to names and places. "Well you have been very lucky. You sound like you're hating every minute," he said in a joking tone as he gave her a wink.
