"Did you hear that, Sean?" she said pleasantly. "He does what pleases Stephen, how very original." Midori turned to Stephen. "He wears a collar, he answers like a sub, is there any good reason why you aren't training him? You're doing a disservice to him."
"That's because Stephen still thinks that he can do this only on a part time basis," Sean put in.
Stephen rested his head on Adrian's shoulder, listening even though he knew what they were about to say. "I don't think, I know, Sean. We go home and there are no roles, no rules. Training changes a person, you know that, Midori, and I like my husband the way he is: an arrogant son of a bitch who always has something to say about everything and everyone. The fact that once in a while he can do this for me, for us, is more than enough. If he started to lick my shoes, then I'd be really weirded out."
She waved a hand in the air. "Of course, it changes a person, that's the all point. It also gives something to a person, more than just one thing. What do you think, pet?" she asked Adrian. "Do you think your Master- oh, I'm sorry, your husband is right or would you like to know more?"
