Ernie opened his eyes in time to see Terry close his and moan around the mouthful of tuna. He had to work hard not to let his jaw drop and it suddenly occurred to him that this was a date. No matter what he'd been telling himself since he'd walked up the path to the school, it was a date now. Friends did not react to their friends eating in that way.
He licked his lips and took a sip of his wine. He turned his attention to the duck liver and foie gras parfait. He took a jouthful and made a noise of satisfaction. "The parfait is magnificent too," he said. "I'd forgotten how good the chefs here are."
"She's working out well," he said. "She's still apparating between the estate and Hogsmeade but I think she has plans of moving to Hogsmeade permanently." He grinned. "She's doing the whole independence thing at the moment. She's nineteen so it's the right time for that."
