"Well, I'm up for anything," Terry said cheerfully. "I've played pool once before. I'm not very good, but it was fun. And I've always wanted to try my hand at roulette, or craps." He laughed a little, but was still smiling when he was done. "I'm not very worldly, I'm afraid. You'll have to show me how." He had a brief thought of Ernie standing behind him, showing him how to handle a pool cue, and his heart sped up a little. Okay, so maybe he wasn't completely resistant to the idea of this being a proper date. He blushed at the thought.
He glanced around the space, and felt the faint buzz of the charms keeping things in order. "It's fascinating," Terry said, eyes gleaming with academic excitement. "The properties of expansion charms without altering the exterior of a building are quite interesting, and complex. I've worked with them to some extent, but mostly in connection with how it would effect any warding done."
He shrugged his shoulders, and laughed at himself. "Any other time I'd probably annoy the manager by asking how exactly they kept it up, but I'd rather just be here with you." He said it without noticing how it would sound to anyone else, and blushed a little at how he'd just gone off rambling about charms.
