Lucius pondered the words for a moment while sipping his cognac. He'd many times suspected that in spite of the suspiciouns Rodolphus had towards Theodore, he was still rather fond of his godson. The tone of voice, the information as well as the fact that he'd been there to offer his support for so long, told him he was probably right.
He smiled. 'I'm even more pleased to hear that they are alright then,' he said. 'And any new father is besotted. Should be at least. It was always such a shame that Nicholas was never able to see that,' he added off handedly. If he had then perhaps there would be no need for suspicion? Then again sometimes such oversights could work well, as in the case of Damian. Which reminded him, he needed to contact the man again.

'That is interesting news, indeed,' he said calmly. 'Forgoing who would ever want to have children with him, is there a way to get to the child?' he asked. 'If Severus has a son he has a weekness - maybe the son is easier to get to than he is?'
