Theo listened, but in a way he didn't hear, most of all he didn't really care. It was if the hatred had drained from him when he was confronted with Lisa's face. It was somehow over - and yet it wasn't. He knew he was now a greater target than before. Rodolphus was not a fool - he'd know who was behind this.
'Fine,' he said at Jander's demand. 'The manor is empty at the moment, the house elves will let you in.' He did not care to negotiate, the day he'd move back in felt remote and far away, and even if things changed, he could live with the vampire reading through his books at night. It was a small price to pay - he'd just ward the rest of the manor against him to protect Nathaniel.
'I can't do anything about the scrolls,' he added, moving to sit down. 'The magic in those are beyond my control, you'll have to convince the painting to let you view them or touching them will severely hurt you.' He looked at Jander again, his eyes darting to his hands when he spoke of the scrolls.
'Is that her wand?' he then asked, as if seeing the wand for the first time.
