RP: A Favor Done, A Favor Owed
Date: 13 October 2006 Characters: Jander Mulboon, Lisa Lestrange Location: Lestrange Manor, France Private/Public: Private Rating: R Warnings: Jander kills Lisa Summary: It wasn't easy, but it sure was fun.
The past few weeks since Theodore Nott had asked him to slay Lisa Lestrange had been gruelling. Nott's information about a Lestrange residence in France was proving very unhelpful. Lisa's trail had gone cold very fast, and every time he had picked it up again, she seemed to disappear and go even deeper into hiding.
There were days when Jander thought all would be lost. He didn't have many sources that he could find for details. His break had finally come three days prior. He had heard through the vampire grapevine about one of the house elves from the old Lestrange holdout was sent to a death eater's family. Jander found the family and the house elf. After painstaking torture, Jander was able to get all the information he needed: The location of the Lestrange residence in France.
Oh, how Jander loved to dismember house elves, especially their ears. Sure, certain secrets are protected by their magic, but with enough poison and other chemicals coursing through its blood stream, along with physical torment, some information was retrievable.
He made his way to the proper region in France and had scouted the residence. The Lestranges must really love their vampires, because their French residence didn't have wards preventing Jander entrance onto the ground. After he had gathered enough information, he decided it was best to spend the next day resting entirely. If Lisa was even half as powerful as he had been led to believe, he would need all his strength to kill her.
When Jander was finally ready to make his move, he waited for her to leave the residence, he wasn't stupid enough to try something where she could possibly use wards against him. He was confident she'd be dangerous enough.
At a distance, he followed her, only when they were well enough away from the residence, did he make his move.
The battle raged for what seemed ages, neither getting the upper hair. Finally, just as Lisa was going to apparate to safety, Jander grabbed her by the head, and with a beautiful snap that echoed all around, Lisa Lestrange was dead.
Jander collapsed to the ground. Most of his clothes were torn, and he had several new burn marks on his body. Burn marks that would never heal. Blood dripped from his side. But he knew he had to get to safety. Having promised Theo proof, Jander found a sharp rock, and with all his strength he hewed at her neck. Eventually, the head severed, albeit sloppily.
With her wand stowed and head bagged, he made his way to where he would rest and regain his strength, then deliver the trophy, in all its horrible vestiges, to Theodore Nott, who would pay dearly for these new scars.
