Cass smirked at Percy's assessment of Sabina, and in truth it wasn't that far off. Sabina had her very own view of how the world worked, and in that view she was the one who mattered.
He sighed when Aiden asked about his mum, looking at Percy when he answered, then at Aiden seeing the question before it was formed. 'I'm sure that doesn't mean she doesn't want to,' he said trying to reassure the boy. 'But Percy is right, there is no need to worry about it today.'
He moved his hand as Sabina decided enough was enough and took a jump from his lap and strolled off again, and looked to Aiden's bag that he'd carried upstairs.
'Why don't you show us what you have with you, and tell us if there is anything else you need?' he suggested. 'Or if you'd rather we could get something to eat. Or I should say, Percy could get us something to eat, because you don't want me to do that, ever.'
