Cass chuckled. 'Well, I would hope not so much. I've had a bit of bad luck the last year,' he said, wondering if it was all right to touch the boy, but letting his hand keep petting Plato instead.
'And you might say that,' he said. 'Do you know what an Auror do?' he then asked. Aiden nodded, which made it all the easier, especially when he added. 'They protect us from the bad guys that want to hurt us.' Cass smiled, nodding.
'That's true,' he said. 'I used to be an Auror, and sometimes the bad guys don't like it when you try to catch them. I was sick because the bad guys tried to hurt me. I have good friends though, and they helped me,' he explained. He hoped it wouldn't scare Aiden.
