Cass nodded, nervous but also determined to at least try to get Aiden to like him. He hated failure almost as much as rejection and he was more stubborn than most.
'I'll ask him later, once he's stopped playing with Plato,' he said. 'For now he seems happy enough, I don't want to spoil that. Not when he was so disappointed about having to come here.'
He tilted his head, looking at the child. 'He doesn't seem very loud, or unruly. Stubborn, I would say, determined, a bit suspicious and quite curious.' He wasn't sure how he'd noticed all that from just watching the boy, but then he had been an Auror and reading people was a part of the job. He found Aiden easier to read than most though. Maybe it was because he was a child?
