Watching Percy with Aiden made him feel a bit easier about this whole thing, but also more unsure. He wasn't as good at this as Percy was. In fact he was still sure he'd be crap at it. What if he couldn't do this at all? He couldn't just rely on Percy all the time, though right now he was quite relieved that he could.
He let the boy go with his eyes as Percy came up to him. Trying to relax a bit. Aiden seemed happy enough with the dog, as if this was an adventure rather than something else, and he didn't think he needed to watch him. 'I'm not- I just-' He gave up, moving a bit further away to make sure Aiden wouldn't hear.
'How do you do it, Percy? I barely know what to say most of the time and you seem so... at ease.' He ran his hand through his hair. 'Fucking hell I'm glad I have you. This would be a disaster if you weren't around.' He frowned the moment the words left his mouth, looking over at Aiden, but the boy didn't seem to have heard anything. Damn! He was going to have to watch his language, wasn't he?
