Aiden giggled again, liking Percy even more, especially when he said he could help out by playing with the dog. He grinned widely, his eyes wide. 'Really? An allowance?' Nana had never let him have that. Then again he hadn't needed one, she gave him everything he wanted, but it was different to buy things yourself.
He looked up at Cass, who looked a bit unsure, but smiled and nodded. He guessed it was OK then and he smiled again, wondering what mum would say.
He let Cass' hand go the moment he saw the dog. It wasn't big at all! Crouching down, he stretched out his hand, very straight, just like Nana had taught him to do, not moving it too much. The dog touched his hand with his nose, then started to lick his fingers.
'He's eating me!' Aiden exclaimed, laughing, because it tickled. 'I'm not a lolly,' he informed the dog, giggling.
