Percy squeezed Cass' fingers. "I'm sure you'd do fine, after your initial outburst that would put a Gryffindor to shame," he said, grinning. "Really, Cass, you need to stop panicking, and start thinking. I know you can do it."
He listened to Cass, but he wasn't sure he agreed with Cass' interpretation. "If she agrees with them, maybe she'll be more willing to give up a son that she hasn't raised and who not only is not a pureblood, but could put her in danger just by being near her," he pointed out. "I don't know, Cass. She doesn't sound like the best mother in the world, but maybe she'd surprise you, and considering the danger, she'll keep the boy and protect him. You would know one way or another if she cares about him or not, and if she doesn't, I doubt you'll ever see her again."
