"Of course I'll be there," she said, pressing closer to him. "I wouldn't want you to have to face that alone." She bit her lip. "I'm not sure I'll be much help, though. I don't know that I'd know what to say." She chewed her lower lip, wondering how much support she could really be, when she didn't even know what to say or think.
She sighed and pressed her lips against his neck. "I love you," she said, trying to convey just how much she loved him in her voice. "I'd do anything for you, and that includes helping you through this." She reached up and turned his head to face her. "Never think that I'd rather be anywhere else than where you are, okay?" She leaned in and kissed him softly, the action more of a reassurance than a seduction. "Just tell me what you need, and I'll do my best to do it."
