Cass smirked, almost triumphantly. 'Emilia doesn't allow anyone access without prior permission,' he said. 'Family or not, if she's not here or have given you her consent, you're not getting in. She wouldn't give anyone else consent while we're here,' he said. 'And I told you we can send the elves away if they bother you. There is only two of them here when Emilia isn't around anyway.'
He wasn't sure Apparition was a wise beginning, but what the hell, he needed to trust his magic, right? Taking the wand out of the box, he weighed it in his hand. It was slightly heavier than his old one, but then it was slightly longer too. Not much, only half an inch, but it was enough to make a difference in how the wand felt in his grip.
It still felt right though, almost as right as his old one had. He didn't question that with time, it would feel just as right. It was just a matter of getting used to it being different.
When he moved it though, he knew it was right, felt it in every fibre of his body as the magic in the wand spoke to the magic in him. He smiled at Percy. 'I'll guess I'll see you at the poolside.' He would have Apparated them both, if only because it gave him a chance to wrap his arms close around Percy, but he didn't dare try with the both of them yet. Not at the first attempt.
