Theo watched as Verity traced the lines of his hand, sighing slightly. How could he tell her now, when there was so much going on with her? He'd hardly tell her otherwise.
And yet, if things got dangerous enough for him to leave, would Verity be able to stay here or would she quickly have to move - babies, Montague and Marlowe? He knew it wouldn't be reasonable for her to - she simply wouldn't, even if it would be safe, and if for no other reason she needed to know some of what was going on because of that.
'It's related to Rodolphus,' he said softly. 'I won't give you details but there is a risk, albeit a very very small one, that things might force us to leave the manor for a time. I do not believe it will be so, however, so there is nothing you need to worry about,' he added, giving her a stern look that clearly told her not to worry.
'I may not be able to control everything, but I am on top of it information wise,' he added. 'I'll let you know if anything happens.'
He squeezed her hand, then turned his mind to another issue he'd been pondering. 'Did you and Montague ever decide if you wanted to put Marlowe in school or not?' he asked.
