Cormac had come home immediately after sending the owl off to Cass and Percy. His leg was hurting worse than normal, and he was exhausted after spending so much time going over papers and finding ways around all of Umbridge's ridiculous edicts. And since his foot wasn't completely healed--the Healers didn't even know when that would be--he couldn't be on active duty.
Besides, he knew that something was up with Seamus. Colin had looked depressed the other day, and Seamus wasn't his usual self. Cormac wouldn't deny that he'd been avoiding Cormac. He didn't want to know what had the other two men of the house in such a mood. He wasn't sure he could put it off any longer though.
He made it home fairly quickly. He was learning how to get around with the slight limp these days. It was quiet inside the house, but he could hear the faint sound of Emma giggling in her room, playing some sort of princess game with Tigger most likely.
He saw Seamus sitting on the couch as soon as he entered the living room. "Hey," he said, sinking down into the chair across from Seamus and propped his leg on the footstool with a sigh of relief.
