Recovery-time wasn't something Cass had ever liked, and this one was getting ridiculously long. Still, he did everything he was supposed to - the exercises, the getting up and moving, the eating properly (he certainly wasn't complaining about the last one).
Most of the time, though, he was too exhausted from moving around that he lounged or sat on the sofa, bored out of his mind even when he was reading. He more often than not wondered how long it would be before he ran out of books to read.
Which was why it was a fluke that he was actually already standing up when the door bell rang. Frowning with surprise, he put the glass of water he'd been drinking on the counter, slowly making his way over to the door. Was it just his imagination or did it go slightly quicker?
Then who the fuck knew? It seemed like ages before he reached it anyway.
A deep breath to catch himself later, he opened the door, leaning slightly on it. His eyebrows rose as he saw Ginny on the other side of the door, and he stepped back to let her inside. 'I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see you here,' he said with a smirk. 'Shall I assume that you knew Percy was working?'
