Rodolphus pretended to shudder again then closed his eyes and slumped even further in his chair. He took several deep breaths as though he was regaining control and then raised his hand to pinch his nose.
A moment later a house elf popped into the room with a tray holding a small flask and a goblet and Rodolphus mentally nodded his approval. Good. The creature had been paying attention and was capable of following orders. It continued to follow those orders and poured the liquid in the bottle into the goblet and offered the goblet to Rodolphus.
He glared at the creature then took the goblet with a shaking hand. He swallowed the contents with a grimace, even though it was nothing more than a pleasant cordial that looked like a strong restorative potion. He handed the goblet back to the house elf and scowled at it until it disappeared.
He then answered Theodore's question as though nothing had just happened, as though he was a refusing to admit to his infirmity. "Myself, Bella, Rabastan. Possibly Lisa. She has come along marvellously since becoming a Lestrange. Severus would be more than capable. Possibly a few others. I can safely say Montague has not offended me. Rabastan and Lisa are, of course, in France. Who can tell what whim will invade Bella's mind? And while Severus is more than capable, it is hardly his style." He arched an eyebrow. "Perhaps you need to look beyond those who follow me?"
