Verity nodded. She was feeling guilty for having gossiped at all, now, and it wasn't something she particularly appriceated. Then again, he actually seemed to love Adrian (from what she had seen in public at least) and he was a worse gossip than she- she forced herself not to take offense. "Understandable," she replied simply.
"I didn't mean that you'd labeled me as such- your... Adrian has, I know people veiw me that way, it's not something I typically blame them for." Adrian, of course, was an exception. She looked over to where Theo stood. "I'd be touchy on the subject too, I suppose. It's true, Theo and I are very close, but we're very different as well," she smiled. "Apology accepted, I suppose I was doing a bit of the same assuming that you held the same opinions as Adrian."
She didn't whince when he described his situation. At least that was something she hadn't gone through... It was a sick consolation to herself and she didn't like that her mind had made it. "I'm sorry for what's happened. I know how hard that sort of thing is to live with." She didn't offer him luck on bringing down Rodolphus because, in truth, she was afraid. Her husband was a Death Eater and she believed in what she thought that they had stood for, but anymore she wasn't so sure. What she wanted was for the war to be over, to live in peace, and not to have to worry about another generation fighting- her children. "You'll have to forgive me for not offering my own opinions on your goal," she said almost softly. She hoped he didn't think that she was opposing him. She liked him.
