'Fine, I won't remind you again,' Theo said though he didn't look as if he was discussing anything more important than dinner. Instead he surveyed the room, the people, the expressions on their faces as they talked.
'Do you mind if I circulate?' he asked, not wanting to leave her if she needed him, but wanting to talk to several people in the room all the same. Mostly though he wanted to talk to Draco, both about the meeting, about what and when to tell Rodolphus and about Montague. He had a couple of ideas on how to find out if it was Rodolphus, but he'd not had much time to think of them and they were rough at best and he didn't have time to sit down and carefully go over every angle of every option. Over the years - or really over the past year more than before - he'd learnt that discussing things over with Draco usually made for a good way of testing the merit of any idea or course of action.
Or at least a faster one, and time was not necessarily on his side this time.
