Summary: Draco sends his birthday wishes
Draco had gone insane about finding just the right gift. It wasn't that he didn't have the means (plenty of money) or taste (there was no wizard with taste as exquisite as his. No, it was finding something that Potter (the ingrate) would appreciate, which meant that Draco had to get more than one thing. He simply had to.
Potter,
I vaguely remember that we have a national holiday to celebrate your birthday. I also vaguely remember that it's today, so happy birthday, even if it can't be so happy, since you aren't spending it with me.
Draco
PS I fully expect you to try out that broom at the Manor
He rolled the parchment and dropped the sealing wax on it before affixing the Malfoy emblem on the hot wax. He ended the parchment to Fides together with several boxes. There were three robes and Muggle clothes, which Draco considered a gift to society and good taste. There was a new broom, which he considered a gift to himself as well.
The last present was a book he had found in the old library at the Manor. It was a history (quite long from the size and weight of the book) of all the pureblood families, including the Potters and of course the Blacks. He didn't know if Potter would appreciate it, but as far as Draco was concerned, Potter would never be part of their community if he didn't know the many things that purebloods (and yes, even Weasleys) know instinctually.
"And I'll smack him with it if he doesn't understand it," he muttered to himself, before focusing on the house elf. "Bring them to Potter."
