Pansy shook her head again. Her Cass usually thought things through better, she thought. Then again, she realized, her Cass had been mostly all about himself. This time he was thinking of others first so maybe he hadn't had the experience needed to get it right.
Maybe she wouldn't have done so well, either. It was a sobering thought. But, she also realized, she was far too selfish to give up Harry, no matter what happened, even if it were for his own good. He was stuck with her.
She found that the idea didn't bother her the least little bit. In fact, she felt pretty good about it.
'Does Harry know? About your mum?' she asked quietly. She racked her head to think of anyone else that might help.
Then she giggled. 'You're right, of course,' she laughed. 'I do hope it doesn't scare him when he figures it out. But he has the oddest idea that when the War is over and everything is safe, I'm going to decide I'm done with him, and I've got to get that thought out of his head for good. I have plans for after the War, but they involve a huge ring and a big wedding and everybody telling me how stunning I am!' she announced.
