Pansy made a face. 'He's just different, Cass. And if he's married to your boss, than maybe you should try again,' she suggested. Then added with a sly look, 'I like him, and you know I'm a pretty good judge of character.' She made another face. 'Gilderoy, not withstanding,' she added. 'But he's always been most considerate and polite with me and Polly. And he knows about Harry. Well, not who it is, but that there is someone.'
Now that she thought about it, she wondered if Harry would get along with Antonin. Given the current circumstances, they didn't run into each other so it hadn't come up. And if he'd known the man was flirting with her, he'd definitely not like it. Oh, dear! Now she had two friends that Harry wouldn't get along with...three if she counted Theo because she was quite sure he wasn't going to consider Harry good enough for her.
'I just....' she started. 'It would be nice if there were others that Harry and I could socialize with who knew about us,' she told him. 'Besides that awful Granger girl. I like Ron Weasley fine. He flirts and jokes and he's fun. I don't know what he sees in the girl! She's as much fun as one of Binn's History of Magic classes, and you know how awful those were!'
She was back to making a face again. 'Oh.....' she moaned. 'And you're right, of course.....' She tossed her head around, trying to get used to the idea. 'But she's soooo.....red-headed!' Pansy complained. 'She stands out everywhere she goes, she has the oddest idea of what clothing is appropriate, and she's so blasted friendly and talkative and......striking!' She wasn't going to say pretty, the girl wasn't pretty. 'She's just little and petite and that red hair looks good with anybody and I don't like her!' she pouted.
After a moment of making a face, she sighed. 'For you, my darling priest. But only for you!' She glared at Cass. 'But if she teaches my baby some odd Scots habit, you are in big trouble! And Harry isn't allowed anywhere near her!' She had to put up with Ginny Weasley and Fleur Delacour, but she did not have to put up with Morag Macdougal!
She finally nodded. 'I don't know how you did it,' she said, impressed with his ability to keep a secret. She had let hers out several times over....she'd just been very, very lucky that the people she'd slipped with were closemouthed. And one had been a complete stranger! For a moment, she wondered what had happened to that good looking man at the Ball. Probably a casualty of the pox, she decided sadly.
'But Cass that was just last year!' she protested. 'I'd have gotten you robes before that if I'd known!' And she would have, too. In fact, she'd owl Padma for more silk as soon as she got home. 'That's it!' she announced. 'We're going shopping!' She had years of neglect to make up for.
Then she frowned. 'No, wait, you can't....' She stopped for a moment. Then she brightened. 'Harry can go with me! Sure, we can get you some Muggle clothes....he likes those. He'll know just what to get.' She gave Cass a sly look. 'And if he ends up with some new things, can't complain!' she giggled.
'Well, I intend to thank her!' Pansy announced. Then a look of abject disappointment crossed her face. 'Cass, what about the little villa? The one with the pool? Oh, I loved that little place!'
