Pansy rolled her eyes. 'Well, Percy hasn't changed his mind about Harry even though his bad opinion seems to stem from childhood events,' she pointed out, blinking innocently at him.
She giggled at Cass. 'You just want to be mad at him,' she teased. 'I bet Percy doesn't like him and that's why you don't,' she added. 'Just don't go taking his opinion on Harry, okay? It's bad enough that Percy doesn't like him!'
'Macdougal? I don't ignore Macdougal?' She thought about that a moment. 'Well, yes, I guess I do. But she's so.....' Pansy made a face, 'so friendly! Nobody can be that friendly! I mean, the girl talks to everyone!' she complained. 'And she doesn't do anything the way a real woman would. She's not even interested in shopping!!!! And she looks like Ginny Weasley!' she added, her voice rising. 'She's got that red hair that people notice, and she talks to people, and they like her.....!' she bit out sourly.
'You're going to work for that Scottish heathen????' Pansy collapsed back against the head of the bed dramatically. 'I'm going to have to be even nicer to the woman, aren't I? What are you going to do for her?' she sighed. 'I'm going to have to get over this, aren't I? What is it with these girls trying to be closer to you than me????' She made a rude noise.
Pansy sat up to stare at Cass. 'Your father? But your father was a Vaisey, and darling, no offense, but I've met your grandfather. Scared the heebeejeebies out of me!' she admitted. 'How did he ever pull that off????'
She looked at him in horror. 'Cass, it's lucky he didn't have you killed!' she gasped, throwing her arms around him and hugging him tightly, completely forgetting about his injuries. 'Oh, Cass!' she cried out softly.
She pulled back her head to look at him. 'Well, you could have told me!' she snapped. Then she buried her head against him. 'No, you couldn't! I blab almost everything!' she moaned. 'Some best friend I am!'
