Pansy sighed and looked up at Theo with a grateful smile. 'Thank you, that was so sweet to say,' she told him. 'I want to be a good friend. But sometimes people don't do what I tell them!' She said that as if it were a surprise because why wouldn't you do something your friend told you was for your own good? If it were her telling them, that is?
She had started to turn as soon as he mentioned Polly's name, automatically checking for her daughter's safety and well-being with a catch to her breath. But then she saw that Polly was with Harry, and the initial surge of adrenaline that had gone through her started to dissipate and she found she was able to breathe again.
She had actually turned back to Theo, but the frown on his face brought her up short and she remembered that she and Polly were not supposed to be a part of Harry's life in public. Some of the blood draining from her face, her eyes widening, she whirled back. 'What????' she exclaimed.
Oh, she was going to hear about this later.... No doubt about it.
'Excuse me,' she said to Theo, starting towards Polly. Ella seemed to be trying to tell the little girl something, but Polly was having none of it. She had found Harry, and she wasn't letting him go.
