The funeral for Frank Longbottom was another of those events that they'd had to attend because it was just proper to be there. Morag knew the story of the Longbottoms, of course, as did Antonin. She had never met the man, of course, but Neville had been a nice enough sort in school, although a bit useless, and he was on the Hogwarts board of governors.
She had no idea why, but she supposed that it didn't hurt for there to be someone who hadn't had it so easy in school to be there to advocate for the students.
So she and Antonin had dressed up again and made the journey to the funeral. At least it wasn't in Hogsmeade. The journey from the lake to the village made her uncomfortable, just then. It reminded her of her failure to protect her daughter, and Morag hated being reminded of her failures.
From the shape he was in, Neville wouldn't even remember that they had been there, but Ginny was a friend, and she would. Morag was glad they had come.
