Dora watched the thing leap at her as if she was watching it happen to someone else. It wasn't until it was nearly on her that she reacted. Her movements were clumsy and her arm scraped against something, but she managed to kick out and knock it back down the stairs. Her arm was bleeding again. The scabs opened up from her encounter with Bellatrix and new wounds throbbed as the blood from both mixed and seeped down her arm.
She was giving the wolf too much time to regroup. Realising this, Dora scurried up the stairs. She stopped short in the hallway as her eyes jumped from her bedroom door to the bathroom. She decided on the bedroom and ducked inside, slamming the door shut behind her and immediately beginning to cast spells.
Neither she nor Remus kept any silver in the house. Or any wolfsbane. There was nothing in the room she could use to defend herself. Wards were going to have to do for now, but given the way her hand was shaking and her mind was raicing, she honestly didn't know how long they would hold.
