Dora bolted from the kitchen. Her bare feet skidded across the tiles and across the wood that lined the hallway into the foyer. "Shit, shit, shit..." she said, quite obviously freaking out underneath her breath. She landed on her ass when she reached down to grab the wand that had fallen earlier and then scurried up, grabbing the staircase banister for support.
She could hear the door splinter and break behind her.
Was it Remus? Dora clutched her wand in her hand, praying to every God she could think of that it wasn't. She did not want to hex him, but she didn't want to be bitten either. There was no door in the house that was going to keep him back if he'd broken through the back door which was thicker than everything else.
When they --yes, they-- came scampering into the room Dora's eyes went wide. "Two of them," she muttered weakly. She raised her wand and threw a banishing spell at the largest one. She didn't want to hex or curse it... not until she knew. Hopefully the force against the wall would stun it somehow.
Her spell went out a wave of blue light, hitting both wolves, but it focused on the smaller one, leaving the larger still able to come for her.
