"Yeah, and his family goes back ages. There could be some sort of artifact the Lestranges want from him. Something even he doesn't know about." He sighed, running a hand through his hair nervously. "Sorry to unload all this on you, I didn't come down here to complain. I just wanted to check in and see how you were doing, and all I've done is talk about me."
Terry nodded, seeing some truth to what Oliver was saying. "I hope so. He can't stay mad at me forever, right?" He laughed a little. "You are wonderful with him, and quite a natural. Maybe you've got an instinct for understanding children."
Terry accepted the Scotch from Oliver, their fingers brushing together slightly. It gave Terry a little shock, like this had happened before, but he couldn't remember when. The memory was just out of reach. He shook his head to clear the odd thoughts, and smiled ."Thanks, I guess I need this more than I thought." He tipped the drink back and kept his eyes on Oliver as he swallowed the liquid.
