Morag echoed Antonin's sigh as Draco moved off. 'I know you think it is something that I can do, Antonin, but it isn't. Or rather, it's something I don't want to do. Remember, I watched Tiberius for years. There's no freedom in that position. Oh, I can do what it takes....I have the skills. But I would end up frustrated and annoyed. Putting up with the bureaucracy and the idiots and the crap. And don't tell me that it can all be delegated. Especially not right now when there's no other Ministry to support the position. The people the Minister serves deserve better than what I would be willing to give....' She shrugged.
'I liked what I did. It's not important to me to be seen to have power, you know that. And while I did have pockets of crap to deal with for Tiberius, it was more confined....not a day to day thing.'
She gave him a grin. 'Besides, who would I get to do my old job? Who could possibly be as good? Or as trustworthy?'
