Faustus had ducked away from Harry, not because he didn't like speaking to him... Harry was fun after all... but well, he was a adult and talking to adults at parties was always a bit boring. Because even the fun ones like Harry tended to be all stuffy and calm. Faustus didn't understand why they were like that but Dad had told him he'd understand when he got older. That had made him roll his eyes. He wasn't a kid after all. He was almost ready to go to Hogwarts.
He weaved through the adults and finally caught a glimpse of Ben. The younger boy looked like a storm cloud and he was ducking under one of the tables. Faustus looked down at his new robes then shrugged and followed.
He clambered under the table and saw Ben curled up with his faces hidden in his knees. He sat down cross-legged next to the younger boy. "Hi, Ben. What's wrong?"
