"I know, Severus, but it doesn't make it any better. He was still my father." Up till the end, Draco had hoped, but it was too late night.
"I'm doing just fine with my bloodline. I have one son and a daughter, and we plan to have more, so they can stuff it," Draco said, waving the argument off with his hand. People really could be stupid.
"We still have time for that Polyjuice." Draco squeezed Severus' hand. "It's going to be all right. I'd say smile a lot, but then you'd scare the guests." He winked at Severus before nodding to the door. "Let's." It took only moments and then they were outside. Draco kept their hands joint long enough for people to see and start the gossip and then he let go. If anyone said anything, he could always deny it, and watch them resist the urge to call him liar to his face.
