"I was only pointing out one of the ways in which we are not alike. I can think of plenty more... I'm less of a show-off, I'm not quite desperate enough for gossip to throw a party," he said, flashing Stephen a quick smile before chasing it with a sip of champagne, oddly aware of himself amongst society.
"Oh yes because really, the Auror office is the first to know everything," Adrian dead-panned. "In fact we're so in the loop that Rodolphus makes sure to double-check his plans are okay with Weasley before deciding on them," He shrugged at Stephen's other words. "I knew what I was doing when I left them. I couldn't stay, I just wish I could have kept you safer."
Adrian leaned in to kiss Stephen, not caring if people stared. "You better more than like the sex," he replied. "And I've noticed. You're practically dragging me out of the house to get there if I deign to grace the manor with my presence on a Sunday."
