If he wanted a reaction, he wasn't disappointed. 'WHAT????!!!!' Morag cried, a look of complete shock on her face. 'Percy????!!!!' Her eyes....and her mind....boggled at the thought.
Then Cass mentioned it was shopping for books. To Morag, that didn't make it any less astonishing. 'That woman reads?????' she exclaimed, still stunned.
Morag dragged a hand through her hair. 'I'm going to have to get to know that woman, aren't I?' she moaned. Antonin was usually a fairly good judge of character, but he could have been swayed by interests in something other than the girl's mind, but Percy? And she had managed to get him to agree to do something other than work, work, and more work????
It sounded like weaning Percy off work might be a bit like getting herself to want to address emotions. 'Baby steps,' she murmured, just as Antonin sometimes told her.
She bit the inside of her cheek a moment. Finally, she said, 'The one I'm using focuses more on babies and children,' she admitted. 'Antonin knows something about healing, and he's got some connections to healing centers in Europe. He's really your best bet.'
She gave Cass a calculating look. 'His suggestion would be more informed if he knew the details of your case,' she pointed out. 'But if you don't feel up to seeing him, we can make do...' She paused. 'You can't avoid him forever, not even if you report to me.' She gave him an impish grin. 'He's likely to look you up just to demand that if you find out something related to me, you tell him, too!' She shrugged. 'What can I say? He tries to protect me even though he knows I don't need it.'
