Morag gave him a wide smile. 'I would expect you to work your way back to fighting form, of course,' she told him. 'Given the weeks you've spent unconscious, that will take some hard work....'
She nodded. 'In lieu of a Minister I can support with information, I had thought to provide what I get to Percy,' she confessed. 'My preference would be for you to report to me and I pass it on to Percy. My only objections to you reporting directly to him have to do with whether it compromises his position in any way. Having his partner providing him with information on the side....?' She shrugged. 'That and my worry that he would be tempted to ask you to edit what you tell me to keep me out of trouble.' She grinned. 'I suspect he and, to some extent, Antonin both think they can do that, but we're not going to let them know I'm on to them. Let them keep their pipe dreams....'
She looked directly at Cass. 'I have a daughter to protect. And I'd like to keep both her parents alive long enough for her to grow up. The longer this war goes on, no matter how good Antonin and I are at what we do, the more the odds are against us.'
