Cass felt a pang of guilt run through him at the memory, and bit his lip slightly as he let Percy finish. 'Well maybe I did, but I was crappy at doing it. I've never been so miserable in my life,' he admitted before looking up. 'Trust me, my Slytherin side alone would keep me from trying it again - I'm far to selfish to put myself through that kind of pain again.'
Smiling, he ran his hand through Percy's hair again, enjoying the feel of it against his fingers. 'You mean everything to me too, you do know that, right?' he asked just before Percy's last words made him burst out in laughter.
'No risk, I will happily promise never to try to cook anything more difficult than toast.'
