Ginny had sat down across from Neville several minutes ago, and was just starting to get really concerned when he slid the letter across to her. She read it quickly, and felt her heart break for him. She knew his parents meant the world to him, and that in the back of his mind he'd always hoped...well, he'd always hoped.
She set aside the letter and rounded the table, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and kissing the top of his head. "I'm coming with you," she whispered, stroking the side of his neck gently. "You shouldn't have to do this alone." She blinked back tears, hating to hear his voice crack that way, and knew she had to be strong. "I'm so sorry, love. So, so sorry."
