Cormac nodded, slightly taken aback by Weasley's point-blankness. There was something to be said about directness, but this was a whole new level. Whatever was going on, it had to be huge.
He blinked, confused until he realized what Weasley meant by 'involved'. "That was a long time ago, we were both very young. I can be objective, even if I do count him a friend."
"What the hell could Cass have done that requires an investigation? This can't be about his injury." Aurors got injured all the time, and beyond a few forms there was hardly ever an investigation. And fuck, Cass was going to resign? "I think you need to tell me the whole story."
