She did try to calm down, she really did, but inside her she still felt like a failure, like someone who didn't deserve her daughter or the man who loved her. She pain was so real that she wanted nothing more than to find the rest of the potions she had from Orla and drift away into the fog they could produce.
The lack of pain there almost made it worth the price she had to pay.
